Thank Yous From Patients

K. E.

I wanted to say “Thank You” for everything you’ve done. Not only did you take a huge relief off our shoulders when you paid our back rent, but because of your organization my family was able to have Thanksgiving and give our 8 year old his birthday after all. I was in the hospital until the day before Thanksgiving, and when my husband told me what you did, I cried. God bless you all.

Thank you to all who graciously gave of their time so I could receive my treatments.  You have no idea how grateful I am.

I was surprised and pleased to receive your gifts and especially the Prayer Shawl. Your many words and prayers of inspiration were certainly appreciated.

My family and I are forever grateful to the NewDay Foundation for all the help of paying bills, the food and prayers and good wishes. At this time of uncertainty everything you have done has made it easier for me and my family, and given us some peace of mind and comfort.

My wife and I would like to say thank you to all for the help that you have given. We cannot say thank you enough. The past year has been hard for us. But faith in God and friends like everyone at NewDay Foundation make all the difference. At some point I hope that maybe I will be able to help others as you are doing.

J. I.

Thanks so much for all that you and your church members are doing for me and my family. It’s nice to know we are not alone and people are thinking of us. It is also nice to know that compassion of strangers can be that of friends and family.

Thank you all for everything you have done for me. I truly appreciate everything and al so blessed to have you all in my life. Thank you

My Cancer Journey began a little over three years ago. Not knowing where to turn for transportation I contacted a locally funded government agency and secured transportation to and from treatment with this agency. Unfortunately my experience was frustrating to say the least. I soon realized I was just a number to them...not a person. Seeing my frustration the Social Worker at MHO approached me during one of my chemo visits and informed me about New Day Foundation and their work and dedication in helping cancer patients. I filled out a very easy and quick application and within the next week was contacted by New Day Foundation offering me help with transportation and assistance with some past due utility bills. One of their volunteers visited me at home offering me a Box of Hope. The Box of Hope is exactly that...hope...hope for a better future for us cancer patients. It contained a beautiful shawl, cute little teddy bear, words of encouragement and much, much more. What made the box more special was the smiling face of the volunteer delivering it...her smile made me smile and I realized then I was a person to them not a number. I feel like I have a family support system with New Day Foundation. Not only does New Day Foundation provide me with transportation weekly they provide me with a warm supportive group of volunteers who check on me often and are always there to provide words of encouragement along with smiles and prayers.

To say thank you just doesn't seem like enough. I honestly count New Day Foundation as one of my blessings from above. I have not only meet an amazing group of volunteers from New Day Foundation I have been able to meet several other cancer patients who I can share my journey with. Sometimes we need to look for our "silver lining" in our daily challenges...I am lucky I have found my silver lining with New Day Foundation. I think I have found some amazing Angels on Earth with the New Day Foundation and will be forever grateful for everything they have done for me. There is a beautiful song "I am going to love you through this" about a cancer patient and her journey....and that is exactly what New Day Foundation is doing for me....loving me through this journey. Thank you....thank you...thank you!! ~ All my love.
