The 16th Annual Concert Fundraiser was held on Saturday May 4th, 2019 at the Silver Palace Banquet Hall. Thanks to everyone who attended and supported this effort. We are happy to report that we were able to raise nearly $14,000 as a result of this fundraiser.
The mission of the NewDay Foundation is to help cancer patients as they struggle with the everyday challenges of treatments and the obstacles that they may face. We hand deliver "Bags of Hope" to first time chemo and radiation patients as well as new teddy bears, coloring books and crayons, reading/activity books to children at local hospitals to provide comfort to those individuals as they experience the difficulties of cancer and side effects from chemotherapy.
NewDay is also committed to bringing music into the lives of those who recognize the benefits of music as an alternative form of therapy. The foundation has also started a Connie Yagelski-Marhanka Music Scholarship. It’s a scholarship given to high school seniors that are pursuing a future in music. The scholarship winners are announced and presented with their checks at the concert each year. It was a dream of Connie’s to help inspire young musicians to follow their dreams and aspirations in the field of music. Her dreams have become a reality at last.
NewDay Foundation is dedicated to helping families of the LaPorte County area who are battling cancer, and are in need of financial assistance.
We can help with things such as health insurance, financial resources, education programs/materials, providing referrals to other resources, as well as transportation.
The NewDay Foundation would love an opportunity to assist you or a loved one along their fight with cancer.
The NewDay Foundation is a Mission of Door VIllage United Methodist Church, a 501c (3) non-profit Organization. Your donations are tax deductible.
